Best customer service ever. There was a large discrepancy between the price we were quoted by Hertz online and the amount we were billed. When I noted that on the survey we received after the rental, the local manager contacted me, and ended up refunding the difference, along with an apology. Unheard of for a local office to take responsibility for a corporate mistake. I was very impressed.
All I can say is horrible customer service, LIES LIES LIES and FRAUD! The manager has a BS story for everything. My mother called the week prior to the rental with a confirmation number and she got yelled at that they don't do SUVs to people who have a wrecked car and to call on monday. The manager told her it would only be a compact car in the middle of winter, over a foot of snow outside. She called again on Saturday and got the same horrible treatment. I go into Hertz on Monday with a confirmation that her vehicle is waiting. I waited for about 5 minutes with the workers looking at me before anyone would come out. The manager would not even come out from the back room, but he kept ordering the lady to ask me questions. They told me there would not be a vehicle until Wednesday. I had a confirmation for Monday but they said it did not matter. So I said, "I wonder what your story will be Wednesday." I walked out. I decided to go with Avis so I was walking back in. The manager met me outside and yelled, "Are you the guy that was just here!" I said, "Yes I am and I have to say the guy on the phone with my mother last week was a jerk!" He got right up in my face and yelled, "What did you just say!" and I yelled back, "The guy on the phone was a jerk!" He said, "I don't believe you!" We went back inside and I told him I'm going to Avis and he said, "You'll have to wait for an hour because they are not open yet!" Right then the Avis person walks in. The Hertz guy said, "Well lets see what we can do." I said, "you just told the lady to tell me you have nothing until wednesday." He said, "I can't tell without a confirmation number." I said, "We tried to give you a confirmation 3 times and you said it doesn't matter." He said, "Well we have an SUV." I said, "You just said you don't have any SUVs." He said, "Do you want a vehicle or not!" I said, "Sure." So, my mother comes up and he tells her he needs a credit card to hold for a $75 deposit but he won't charge it. She gave her card and within 2 days Hertz drained her account dry! FRAUD! Lesson learned. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS!
I rent from the Cody Hertz 5-10 times a year. They have ALWAYS given me the best service! They have come in early, prepped cars, been flexible with pickup times etc and are always super nice to me. My vehicles are always clean and as described or even better!
Not only did we receive a very rude attitude when we arrived but this whole experience has been a complete disaster. We are currently fighting a false damage claim. I think it is disgusting that a company would run a scam such as this.
I only rent here
Rented from Hertz on our last trip to Yellowstone and our experience was awesome. I had booked the rental online for a Full Size car. When we got there, they gave a free upgrade to a SUV instead (we got a Subaru Outback). The car was quite new (less than 5k miles driven) and was in good condition. We loved the whole experience and would definitely go with a Hertz rental in this airport next time as well.
