So nice, I went back a year later in Sept. '16; different site, and weather was terrible, but it was still a great place to relax.
Going back in Sept. '15. Great place to relax...
Troy and his family made us feel so comfortable. Helped us dump our unit, hooked up the RV, gave us firewood too! Forgot bug spray and matches? Troy provided them and wouldn't let us pay for it. I'll be back when in this area. 5+ stars!!!
Okay campground, we moved sites from our reserved site to a river front walk up site on our second night. We did so as directed per the campground host but our original reserved site was never opened up (our name taken down) so that a new camper could come in. Lots of mosquitos (of course not unexpected in July), made outdoor activities miserable despite long pants/sleeves and loads of bug spray. Dog feces all over the campground roadways. Did not use the vault toilets. Honestly would only stay again out of absolute necessity.
Wapiti, elk fork and big game campgrounds r all 3 close. Out of these 3 wapiti xan accomodate big rigs. More taken care of, not overgriwn with greenery. Sited not soacious acres, but possible to find a great nook to hide.
Nice campground between Yellowstone and Cody. The views in the area were awesome. No host was on site when we were there. The one downside was that there were tons of flies in the bathrooms. They really need to invest in some fly tape.
Camped there in July '14. Clean, quiet, friendly and the vault toilets were as spotless as could be. Good shade and fantastic scenery. About halfway between Yellowstone NP and Cody WY.
