If you love history especially Western history, this is a very good place to go. Five museums in one place. Spent 2 whole days here and could have spent more time. One of the finest firearms and plains Indians museums anywhere. Beautiful displays. I will definitely return for another visit.

WOW. We were here when the Guns of the West exhibit was here. To see the rifle that leaned against a tree in Yosemite for over 100 years....incredible. So many historical guns owned by famous and infamous folks. But there's more. So much more....worth the stop on your way to or from Yellowstone. Will be back. BONUS: We saw a minivan from Hawaii, yes, the island state, in the parking lot....it made our 50 state license plate siting complete on this trip. BONUS!!!!

I really liked a lot of the Native American articles from the 19th century, usually don't get to see them that much. Really indicate the level of skill these people had in so many ways. AND...FIREARMS !!! I felt a bit dizzy I was so excited with the thousands of items. And not just Western - military, hunting, just an incredibly impressive collection. And you can go down in the lower level and there are steel drawers and vertical cabinets that you can open, pull out and sift through. The only other place I've ever been this impressed with was the Springfield Armory in Mass. This collection is absolutely world class. There's absolutely no way you've seen everything that this place offers, I don't care what kind of firearms expert you are.

How do I even start to review this amazing place. Most impressive part was the gun museum. We spent almost 2hours just in that part. My 9 and 11 year old were fascinated with the history and types of guns they had. We could have easily spent another hour in there if we did not run out of time. It's the biggest gun collection I have ever seen.

Recommended to us so recommend to you. Well planned layout. Easily navigation even for those needing handicap accessible. Plenty of parking. Great cafeteria and coffee bar. Native American Indian and Buffalo Bill exhibits are fabulous! A must see!
