After waiting for more than 15-20 minutes, we were seated and given our water. We then sat there watching our waitress take orders of people around us and visiting with friends. We finally gave up after 25 minutes and left. We then went to the Our Place Restaurant and had great service and good food.
The visit I had a Granny's I would describe as unwelcoming. When we were greeted by our hostess he didn't smile, say hello, or ask us how we were doing. While we were waiting to be seated he made someone wait to pay because he was "checking his tips." He led us to where we were sitting without saying anything until we sat. Which was "What do you want to drink." in a very rude tone. Our waitress then came over once again without greeting us or even reading us the special asked "Do you know what you want." What really bothered me however was how friendly, and personable they were with the regulars. Showing me they were capable of good service just not willing to do a good job for us. The only reason I'm giving a two star is because the food was quick and good.
Waited nearly ten minutes for the server, almost walked out. Saw the server again when she delivered the food. Neverchecked to see how our food was. Guess the locals get treated better. Got more service from the host/cashier. Still left her a good tip, because I've worked in the industry. But next time I'm in Cody I'll go someplace else
The staff is young adult aged and is too laid back for my taste. I had to get my creamer and silverware this after asking and them forgetting. That said, the food is traditional american style, huge servings, quick on order and food served hot. Coffee was great. Orange juice a bit watered down for my taste. Perfect poached eggs. The price was a double take of I can't believe it's only that much for the amount of food given.
We picked this place for lunch on a whim passing through town. Had the special: pizza burger and meatball soup. The soup was excellent, and the burger was good - open face. Service was also good. The rest of the food at the table was also very good. We ended the meal with an apple dumpling for the table. And it was very good as well. Definitely like a diner, and not tourist centric, which is exactly what we were looking for.
